For the Sandwich:
- 2 12-inch fresh bakery loaves (such as ciabatta, baguettes, or soft artisan sub loaves)
- Mayonnaise to taste
- Mustard whole grain or Dijon mustard works best
- 1 packet turkey slices
- 1 packet salami slices
- 1 packet chicken slices
- Cheese slices: 4–6 slices of Milram Butterkäse or sub mild Gouda/Havarti and 4–6 slices of Milram Burlander (or sub sharp Cheddar/Swiss)
- Grated Parmesan cheese for topping
- 2 crisp apples such as Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, or Granny Smith, thinly sliced
- 1 –2 tbsp pomegranate molasses
- Flaky sea salt to taste
- 1 bag salt & vinegar potato chips
Slice the 12-inch bakery loaves in half lengthwise. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each loaf and mustard on the top half (toast lightly if desired).
Layer turkey slices, salami slices, chicken slices, and cheese slices onto the bottom bread half. (Optional: broil 1-2 minutes to melt cheese).
Heap the Italian salad mix over the cheese, then layer the thinly sliced fresh apples directly on top of the salad mix.
Drizzle pomegranate molasses over the apples, then sprinkle with a pinch of flaky sea salt and grated Parmesan cheese.
Layer a generous amount of salt & vinegar chips over the seasoned apples.
Place the top bread half over the sandwich, press gently, slice, and serve immediately.
Notes:
- Cheese Substitutions: If Milram Butterkäse or Burlander are unavailable, substitute with Havarti, mild Gouda, Provolone, Cheddar, or Swiss slices.
- Pomegranate Molasses Alternative: Balsamic glaze or honey mixed with lemon juice makes a great substitute for pomegranate molasses.
