Strawberry Sago

This strawberry sago is a cold, creamy, and fruity dessert that's perfect for hot days.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup chopped strawberries fresh
  • 1 tin mixed fruit cocktail drained
  • 1 packet strawberry jelly prepared and cut into cubes
  • 1 cup sago pearls sabudana
  • 700 ml strawberry shake made with more milk and fewer strawberries for a light pink base
  • 1 tbsp condensed milk adjust to taste

Instructions
 

  • Rinse 1 cup sago pearls thoroughly until water runs clear.
  • In a large pot, boil 6-7 cups of water.
  • Add the rinsed sago and cook on medium heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Cook until the pearls become translucent with just a tiny white dot in the center.
  • Drain and immediately rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  • Let it cool completely.
  • Prepare 1 packet of strawberry jelly according to packet instructions.
  • Chill in the fridge until fully set, then cut into cubes.Blend a handful of strawberries with chilled milk (use more milk, less fruit) to create a light pink strawberry shake.
  • Strain if needed and chill until ready to use.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add:
  • Cooked and cooled sago pearls
  • Chopped fresh strawberries
  • Mixed fruit cocktail (drained)
  • Strawberry jelly cubes
  • Pour in the strawberry shake and mix gently.
  • Add 1 tbsp condensed milk to enhance the creaminess and sweetness.
  • Toss in a handful of ice cubes and give everything a gentle mix—this cools it down instantly and makes it extra refreshing.
  • Chill for 1–2 hours before serving.
