Spicy Double McChicken (Better Than McDonald's!)

Make your own McDonald's-style McChicken at home with this crispy, spicy, and juicy recipe. These homemade patties are packed with flavor and taste even better than the real deal! 🫶🏼

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Patties (makes 8 patties)

  • 2 chicken breasts minced in a blender
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp white pepper powder

Flour Coating:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 cup ice-cold water (to be added after dry coating)

For the Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp mustard sauce

To Assemble:

  • 4 Brioche buns
  • Lettuce diced

Instructions
 

  • Mince the chicken breasts in a blender until smooth and sticky.
  • Mix in all the spices and combine well.
  • Test the seasoning by frying a small piece. Adjust salt if needed.
  • Lightly oil your hands and shape the mixture into round patties.
  • Place them on a tray lined with parchment paper and freeze for 40-50 minutes (longer if they’re still soft).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, dry spices, and salt.
  • Coat each patty with the dry flour mixture, shake off excess, and set aside.
  • Add 1 tbsp sriracha and 1 cup ice-cold water to the remaining flour mixture. Whisk into a thick batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Dip each flour-coated patty into the wet batter, then carefully place it in the hot oil.
  • Fry in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Cook until golden brown and crispy.
  • Mix mayonnaise and mustard sauce—that’s it! Simple and delicious.
  • Toast the brioche buns for extra flavor.
  • Spread the sauce on both sides of the bun.
  • Add the crispy chicken patty, top with diced lettuce, and drizzle more sauce.
  • Close the burger and enjoy fresh with fries and ketchup!

Notes

 
Freezing the patties helps them hold their shape while frying.
Double-coating with flour and batter makes the chicken extra crispy.
Use brioche buns for the best texture and taste.
