Quick and Easy Sausage Fried Rice
A fast and flavorful 10-minute fried rice made with sliced sausage, mixed vegetables, and day-old rice tossed in a savory-sweet chilli sauce and finished with butter.

- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 sausages sliced medium-thin (use any variety you love—smoked sausage, frankfurters, chicken, or beef sausages!)
- 1 ½ cups frozen mixed vegetables peas, carrots, corn, green beans
- 3 cups cooked rice preferably chilled, day-old white or Jasmine rice
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp MSG
- 1 tbsp butter
Heat oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced sausages and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden and crisp along the edges.
Toss in the frozen mixed vegetables and sauté for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
Add the chilled day-old rice, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sweet chilli sauce, sesame oil, and MSG.
Stir-fry vigorously over high heat for 3-4 minutes, breaking up rice clumps until well coated and hot.
Turn off heat, add 1 tbsp butter, and stir until completely melted into the rice before serving.
