Lahmacun, often called Turkish pizza, is a thin, crispy flatbread topped with a spiced minced meat mixture and baked to perfection. These Lahmacun Wraps take the classic flavors and transform them into a convenient, handheld meal using soft tortilla wraps.

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

For Assembly:

  • Tortilla wraps
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • Sliced onions with sumac (optional)
  • Yogurt sauce or garlic sauce (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Meat Mixture

  • In a blender, add the red pepper, onion, green chili, garlic, parsley, and tomato. Blend into a smooth paste.
  • Transfer the blended mixture to a bowl and add beef mince, spices, salt, tomato paste, hot pepper paste, and olive oil.
  • Stir well until everything is combined into a smooth meat spread.

Step 2: Cook the Lahmacun Wraps

  • Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and drizzle a little oil.
  • Take a tortilla wrap and spread a thin, even layer of the meat mixture over it.
  • Place the wrap onto the hot pan, meat side down, and cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is crispy and the meat is cooked.
  • Flip and cook for 1 more minute on the other side.

Step 3: Assemble & Serve

  • Remove from the pan and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and sumac onions if desired.
  • Roll into a wrap and enjoy it as a street-style meal or serve open-faced like a traditional lahmacun.
